(Lafayette)  State Senator Mike Michot is calling for a public apology from Representative Don Trahan for a mailer that included a quote the Senator did not make and did not authorize. “I have not authorized any mailing by Don Trahan or any third party in the District 31 race” said Senator Michot.  “The quote praising the incumbent that is attributed to me is a complete fabrication” he said.  “I have not endorsed Don Trahan in this race, and he knows it.  To send out a last minute mailer like this is unacceptable” he continued

“I have not endorsed Don Trahan in the District 31 race.  I have been focused on the race in the 43rd  Dstrict where I am very concerned about the FBI investigation involving one of the candidates” Michot said.  “I am calling for, and I expect, a public apology from Don Trahan within 24 hours” he continued.  “I’m asking the voters of the 31st District to make the best voting decision they can on election day.  The future of our state depends on it”  he concluded.
